Target Archery & Thrown Weapons
SCA Archery and Thrown Weapons activities are open to participants of all ages.
SCA archers use materials and methods available to period archers, including recurve bows, crossbows, and longbows. While some SCA archery competitions use traditional archery “bullseye” targets, others mimic medieval hunting or combat target scenarios.
In Thrown Weapons activities, participants throw common medieval weapons such as axes, knives, and spears at solid wood targets.
