From the Crown regarding Crown Lyst

With rumors of war brewing throughout the region, We see it fit that We ensure the bloodline of Trimaris is secured. We therefore seek to run a tournament of the Kingdom’s greatest warriors, so that We may declare a sovereign heir to the thrones of our great Kingdom.

We beseech Our noble populace to send forth letters to Us with your intent. Before you take your pen to paper, We ask that you have read the Society Organizational Handbook, and are familiar with the current version of Kingdom law. For those that need the CliffsNotes on requirements –

Both fighter and consort:

1. Must have lived within Trimarian borders for the last 12 months (and plan to through the end of the next reign).
2. Must be members of the SCA, current and through the end of the next reign.
3. Must be willing to swear fealty to the Crown prior to entering the tournament.
4. Must have read both the Society Organizational Handbook and kingdom law (even though you got the CliffsNotes from this post, go read it).
5. In addition to the requirements listed in the handbooks, We are requiring that both fighter and consort have earned an Award of Arms or higher.

Just fighter:

1. Must have a valid authorization card.

Letters will be accepted through email (crown@trimaris.org), mail, or hand delivered at any one of our events. We will accept letters of intent up until end of day (midnight), November 11 AS LXI.

As far as the format of the lyst: it will be a double elimination tournament where each round will be fought best 2 out of 3, up until there is one fighter left in the winner and challenger brackets. The finals will then be beat 3 out of 5, with alternating weapons styles determined by the Crown.
